Summer Transfer Information
New Student Orientation will be delivered in a hybrid model this upcoming summer. This experience will incorporate asynchronously delivered online UGA 101 modules, a virtual academic advising appointment, coupled with a required in-person orientation session. Access to the UGA 101 modules will begin on April 25th for transfer students, and will be found on the student’s application status page. You will be able to meet with an academic advisor to have a 1-to-1 virtual advising appointment and be able to register for your classes following that meeting, if all other requirements have been fulfilled.
Registration for the in-person orientation sessions can be found via your UGA Status Login Page on April 25th for transfer students. Please note that orientation registration is on a first-come, first-served and that once a session is full it will no longer appear as an option.
New Student Orientation is an experience that is designed to help you prepare our newest students for success in their first year at UGA. Before you arrive, get to know your Orientation Leaders (OLs), learn about orientation requirements, review important information, and prepare for your transition to the University of Georgia
Welcome to the Bulldog Nation, and as always, Go Dawgs!
UGA 101 Modules are required for all incoming students and they must be completed prior to being given an academic advising appointment date range. UGA 101 modules will open on April 25th for all transfer students. The earlier that a student completes their required modules, the earlier their appointment date range will be.
You can access these modules via your UGA application status page and will receive a reminder email when modules open.
Incoming students will meet with their academic advisor virtually this summer. Students are required to complete their UGA 101 modules and upon completion, students will receive an academic advising appointment date range based on when they complete their modules. As you near your approximate advising date range, you will receive further instructions from your advisor via your UGA email. Upon completion of that advising appointment and clearing of all other holds, students will be able to complete their class registration.
Attending a New Student Orientation session is required. These sessions will offer the opportunity to connect with other incoming students, campus staff, faculty and Orientation Leaders. It will also allow you to be even more prepared to be successful at UGA with campus tours, an introduction to dining halls, and resource and organizational fairs. There is a dedicated session for Maymester students on May 17th and for Summer Transfer students on June 8th. Fall Transfer students may select one of the other one-day session options. Registration for in-person transfer orientation sessions will open on April 25th.
