Here at UGA, we hope to inspire students to become effective leaders in their communities and to develop a deep dedication to serving the people of Georgia and beyond. During orientation sessions, we partner with the UGA Student Food Pantry and Bulldog Basics to help serve the needs of the UGA student community. 

Please consider donating packaged food or hygiene items during your orientation session. Bring any donation items with you to orientation check-in and look for a donation bin. Together, we can make a difference.

UGA Student Food pantry

The UGA Student Food Pantry is a full-service food pantry that is open to all students on UGA’s campus. Providing quick access to basic food items, we would appreciate a variety of items such as:​

  • Rice, pasta, beans
  • Canned tuna/chicken
  • Cereals, trail mixes, crackers
  • Fruit juices/cups
  • Yogurt, cheese sticks
  • Pre-packaged vegetables/fruits

Bulldog Basics

Bulldog Basics is a campus-wide initiative to provide toiletry and personal care items for students to meet their basic needs. We are accepting donations of the following (unopened) items.

  • Unscented Laundry Detergent
  • Shampoo (for all hair types)
  • Conditioner (for all hair types)
  • Body Wash
  • Body Lotion
  • Women’s Deodorant
  • Men’s Deodorant
  • Mouthwash
  • Toothpaste
  • Menstrual products (pads and tampons; no liners)
