In-person orientation session registration will open on May 4 at 2:00pm ET and is mandatory for all incoming students. Orientation session spots are claimed on a first-come, first-served basis. New Student Orientation fees and refund policy

Welcome to the start of your exciting journey with us! Our New Student Orientation is designed to help you and your family transition smoothly into university life. Here’s what you need to know about the costs and our refund policy:

Cost for Students: The orientation fee is $100 for Transfer Students and $110 for First Year Students. This cost is covered by your commitment deposit.

Cost for Guests:

  • $65 for the first guest
  • $50 for each additional guest (up to 2 additional guests)

Refund Policy: Please note that we have a no refunds policy. However, if you need to modify the guest attending, we are happy to make those accommodations.

New Student Orientation is a self-sustained program, meaning we must cover all related expenses for each participant. We have worked to keep costs as low as possible, and guest fees only cover essential program expenses. We never want cost to be a barrier to having family members or supporters join you at orientation. If the guest fee presents a financial challenge, please let us know—we are happy to work with you to ensure you have the support you need as you begin your journey at UGA. Your success and comfort are our top priorities, and we are committed to making your orientation experience smooth, welcoming, and accessible.
